The 72-hour weather forecast, starting from 6 PM on Tuesday, states that a stretch of the subcontinental high-pressure ridge lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, the seasonal low-pressure system is situated over the southern Bay of Bengal.

During the first 24 hours, the weather across the country may remain dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. Light to moderate fog may occur from late night to morning across the country.

During this period, nighttime and daytime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
