Update : 02 Feb 2025, 10:02

The first phase of the first part of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema ended on Sunday morning with the Akheri Munajat (final supplication).

Devotee Muslims from distant places gathered at the Ijtema ground on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi to take part in the prayer.

Since the Fajr prayer on the day, worshippers have been heading towards the Ijtema ground. As the day progresses, the flow of devotees on the highways continues to increase.

They arrived at the banks of the Turag River by rail, road, and even on foot from various regions. Due to the Munajat, there is a massive crowd on the roads and highways adjacent to the Tongi Ijtema ground.

The devotees have expressed that they have come to the Ijtema ground to awaken their religious consciousness and seek forgiveness for their sins. In this congregation of millions, they will pray to Allah for the peace and well-being of their families, loved ones, and the Muslim Ummah.

The Akheri Munajat of the first phase of the first part of Bishwa Ijtema was at 9:00am. Maulana Zubair Ahmed, the chief Imam and Khatib of Kakrail Jame Mosque and a top leader of Tabligh Jamaat Bangladesh, led the final supplication.
