To ensure smooth travel for homebound passengers during Eid-ul-Fitr, advance ticket sales for intercity trains have begun. Tickets for March 29 are available starting today.
On Wednesday, March 19, at 8 AM, the fifth phase of advance ticket sales commenced. All tickets are being sold exclusively online.
For passenger convenience, Bangladesh Railway has scheduled ticket sales based on region:
Western region train tickets are available from 8 AM while Eastern region train tickets are available from 2 PM
Earlier, on March 9, a notice signed by Rezaul Karim Siddiqui, the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Railways, announced details about the advance ticket sales.
According to the notice: tickets for March 29 are available on March 19,k tickets for March 30 will be available on March 20, and these special advance tickets cannot be refunded
Tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 will be sold based on the official moon sighting.
Additionally, in response to passenger demand, 25% standing tickets for non-AC coaches will be available at the starting station before departure.
Passengers can purchase advance Eid tickets only once and can book a maximum of four seats per transaction.
