Dhaka, 6 more dists to get hotter

Amid scorching temperatures, life has become increasingly unbearable in various parts of the country, including the capital. The Meteorological Department has warned that temperatures may rise further across the country this week, with mild heatwaves likely to expand in several districts.

According to the latest weather forecast, a heatwave is expected to intensify in Dhaka and six other districts over the next 72 hours. Additionally, daytime temperatures may increase further.

The Meteorological Department reports that an extended low-pressure system is present over West Bengal and adjoining areas, while the seasonal low lies over the southern Bay of Bengal. However, there is a possibility of rainfall in the next three days.

For the 24-hour period starting from 9 AM on Saturday (March 29), daytime temperatures across the country are expected to remain nearly unchanged, while nighttime temperatures in northern regions may decrease slightly.

On Sunday, daytime temperatures across the country may decrease slightly, while nighttime temperatures may rise slightly.

The department also stated that no significant changes in weather conditions are expected over the next five days.
