The Meteorological Department has forecasted that storms with wind speeds up to 60 km/h may sweep across 10 districts, including Dhaka, by tonight. This warning was issued in the weather bulletin for inland river ports on Sunday afternoon.
The forecast advised the river ports in the affected areas to hoist Cautionary Signal No. 1 (repeated). According to the bulletin, temporary gusty or squally winds from the west and northwest at speeds of 45–60 km/h, accompanied by rain or thundershowers, may affect the districts of Dhaka, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Faridpur, Tangail, and Cumilla.
Residents in these areas have been advised to stay prepared for possible storms, rain, and lightning.
