SSC 2025 begins

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have begun across the country today, Thursday (April 10). The exams started simultaneously at various centers at 10:00 AM and will continue until 1:00 PM.

This year, a total of 1,928,181 students are taking part in the exams. The theoretical exams will continue until May 13, while the practical exams will be held from May 15 to May 22.

Meanwhile, to ensure a smooth and fair environment for the 2025 SSC and equivalent exams, all coaching centers across the country will remain closed from April 10 to May 13.

In a meeting of the National Monitoring and Law Enforcement Committee, it was decided that the government will take effective measures to prevent rumors of question paper leaks. Additionally, photocopy machines in the vicinity of exam centers will be shut down during exam days.

According to the Ministry of Education, this year under the nine general education boards, a total of 1,490,142 candidates are sitting for the exams. Among them, 701,538 are male and 788,604 are female. There are 2,291 exam centers and 18,084 educational institutions involved.

Under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, a total of 294,726 candidates are participating. Among them, 150,893 are male and 143,833 are female. There are 725 exam centers and 9,063 institutions under this board.

Under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, there are 143,313 candidates in total. Among them, 108,385 are male and 34,928 are female.
