From May 13th to 24th the 78th festival de Cannes at the Côte d’Azur in France will attract actors, directors, producers and film lovers frem all over the world.
Cannes has developed into number one film festival globally. It attracts world stars like Tom Cruise with his Action Movie “Mission Impossible” outside the competition for the Palme d’or.
In Berlin film festival this is the Golden Bear! But Cannes also put into the limelight young talents. The opening film is “Partir un jour” (Leave one day) by the young French director Amelie Bonin. It is her first ever film!
In the competition there will be the young new talent from Germany Mascha Schilinski with “Sound of falling”. The president of the jury will be the famous French actor Julliette Binoche. A climax will be the Honorary Palme d’or for Robert De Niro for his lifelong achievements as actor, director and producer.
