The price of LPG for the month of May has been fixed for consumers. The price of a 12-kg cylinder has been reduced by 19 Taka — from 1,450 Taka to 1,431 Taka.
This new price was announced on Sunday (May 4) by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), and it will come into effect from Sunday evening.
The price of autogas has also been reduced. At the consumer level, the price has been lowered from 66.41 Taka to 65.57 Taka — a decrease of 84 poisha.
Earlier, last month, BERC had issued a directive keeping the price of the 12-kg cylinder unchanged.
Before that, in March, the price of a 12-kg cylinder was reduced by 28 Taka to 1,450 Taka, after being increased by 19 Taka to 1,478 Taka in February.
