An air ambulance carrying BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has departed from London’s Heathrow Airport for Bangladesh on Monday, at 9:35 PM Bangladesh time.
Meanwhile, the BNP media cell has posted a photo of the former premier on Tuesday morning, saying she left for Dhaka from Qatar.
Khaleda Zia is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:30am today.
BNP Chairperson’s media wing official, Shairul Kabir Khan, confirmed on Monday that the special air ambulance—provided by the Emir of Qatar—carrying Khaleda Zia departed for Bangladesh at 9:35 PM Bangladesh time.
After nearly four months of advanced medical treatment in London, Khaleda Zia has started her journey back to Bangladesh. She is scheduled to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30 AM Bangladesh time on Tuesday. From the airport, she will head directly to her Gulshan residence, "Firoza."
Upon learning of Khaleda Zia’s health issues in Dhaka, the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, provided a royal fleet’s special aircraft. On January 8, she traveled to London aboard that air ambulance and is now returning home on the same special flight.
