Govt, pvt offices to close for 10-day Eid vacation

The interim government has announced a 10-day holiday for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. This information was released in a circular by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday (May 7). During this holiday period, both government and private offices will remain closed.

According to the circular from the Ministry of Public Administration, June 11 and 12 have been declared as public holidays by executive order. In addition, government offices will remain open on two Saturdays before Eid.

The circular was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration and signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Kamruzzaman.

The circular stated that to facilitate smooth travel for the public during Eid-ul-Azha, June 11 (Wednesday) and June 12 (Thursday), 2025, have been declared as public holidays by executive order. For official purposes, government offices will remain open on Saturday, May 17, and Saturday, May 24, 2025.

The circular also mentioned that during the holiday period, all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices will remain closed. Additionally, on the two Saturdays (May 17 and May 24), all government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous, and private offices will remain open.
