Assuming June 7 as the day of Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Railway (BR) authorities have decided to start the advance sale of train tickets.
As usual, special arrangements will be made for the sale of train tickets for seven days after Eid. Ticket sales for the return journey of Eid travelers will begin on May 30.
For the convenience of passengers, 100% of the tickets will be sold online this year as well.
Railway Ministry Secretary Md. Fahimul Islam shared this information during a stakeholder meeting held at the Power Building in the capital on Monday.
At the meeting, he mentioned that tickets for all intercity trains operating in the western region will be available from 8 AM, while tickets for all trains running in the eastern region will go on sale at 2 PM.
