Hajj ends, Hajis flying back home

The return flights for Bangladeshi pilgrims begin today (Tuesday, June 10), as all formalities of the holy Hajj have concluded. These return flights will continue until July 10.

After completing the ritual of stoning the devil in Mina and performing the obligatory Tawaf (circumambulation) of the Kaaba, the pilgrims are now returning to Mina. On the way back, some pilgrims got lost and sought shelter at the Hajj Mission in Mecca.

It has been reported that a total of 87,157 Bangladeshis performed Hajj this year. Among them, 19 pilgrims passed away. During this Hajj season, the Saudi Ministry of Interior shut down 436 fake Hajj agencies and arrested 462 individuals for violating laws.

Meanwhile, 188 Bangladeshi pilgrims have received medical treatment in Saudi Arabia so far. Additionally, 19 are currently admitted to government hospitals in the Kingdom.

This year's Hajj took place on June 5. The first flight carrying Bangladeshi pilgrims to Saudi Arabia departed on April 29, and the last flight departed on May 31.
