The ongoing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has had horrible implications for the people of Ukraine. Thousands died and several people have left the country to find refuge elsewhere, as people try to mitigate the damages of the conflict. PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas and his wife welcomed thirty Ukrainian refugees into their home.
The Costa Rican, star of his national team who played for Real Madrid, opened the doors of his house in Paris so that a group of 30 people from Ukraine have a place to live temporarily, in addition to providing food.
In addition to this gesture, Navas bought 30 beds that he installed where he has a cinema. His wife, Andrea, got involved in the project since she made them food, gave them clothes and did a religious ceremony since the PSG goalkeeper is also an evangelist.
Andrea also participates in outreach on social media to raise aid for the Ukrainian people as a result of the ongoing conflict in their country. She also decided to campaign for donations through the Tiempos de Esperanza Foundation. Andrea posted that information on her Instagram account:
A message posted in Spanish, English and French. ” Hands that give will never be empty. We can help many children with their mothers, young people who were only able to come with their clothes. We can bring them food that does not expire, clothes, things to clean themselves, etc. I share the information for so they can feel the love in all this pain."
