Nasiruddin Patwari, Chief Coordinator of the National Citizens’ Party (NCP), said that a sense of civil war is prevailing in the country at the moment.
He made the remark on Wednesday afternoon at the inaugural event of the joint platform of health professionals and students held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity. He also expressed solidarity with the ongoing movement of eight parties, including Jamaat-e-Islami.
At the event, he said, “Even though some want freedom from fascist rule, one party has withdrawn from the process. Since a large portion of the people of Bangladesh want reform, the BNP won’t be able to stop the referendum even if it tries for 100 years.”
He further said, “The Yunus government has become detached from the people and has started to move on its own”.
