Considering the security situation, the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC–JFP) located at Jamuna Future Park in Dhaka will remain closed from 2:00 pm on Wednesday.
A notice to this effect has been published on the IVAC Bangladesh website. It states that due to the prevailing security situation, no activities will be carried out after 2:00 pm on Wednesday. It was also mentioned that applicants who were scheduled to submit their applications during this time will be given a new appointment at a later date.
Meanwhile, an organization named “July Unity”, a united platform inspired by the spirit of the mass uprising of ’24, will observe a “March to the High Commission” programme today. The programme is being organized in protest against the continued alleged conspiracies by Indian proxy political parties, media groups, and government officials, and to demand the repatriation of all killers, including the ousted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The programme will begin at 3:00 pm on Wednesday (17 December) from Rampura Bridge in the capital. This information was announced earlier in a press release issued on Tuesday (16 December) evening.
