At least 22 people have been killed and dozens injured after a construction crane fell on top of a moving train carriage.
The accident took place on Wednesday morning in Nakhon Ratchasima province, north of the capital Bangkok, BBC reports.
The death toll is expected to rise as rescuers are still removing bodies from the wrecked train car. According to the train's seating plan, there were 195 passengers and staff members on board
The Governor of the State Railway of Thailand has been called to "thoroughly and comprehensively" investigate the cause of the accident, according to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Phipat Ratchakitprakarn.
Ratchakitprakarn added that officials are verifying the identities and closely monitoring hte injured - adding that the deceased will be compensated if they were train workers.
