Twelve people including ten members of the same family were killed in a head-on collision between a bus of Bangladesh Navy and a microbus on the Khulna-Mongla highway at Gonai Bridge in Rampal upazila of Bagerhat district on Thursday.
Authorities have not yet released their identities officially.
The accident occurred around 4:30pm when the bus of Bangladesh Navy collided head-on with a microbus, leaving twelve people including two children dead, said sub-inspector of Katakhali Highway Police camp, Md Hasan.
Rampal Upazila Health and Family Planning officer, Dr Sukanto Kumar Pal, said among the deceased eight bodies were kept at Khulna Medical College and Hospital while the rest others kept in Bagerhat.
