A drone attack early Friday targeted an oil refinery in Al Ahmadi operated by Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, causing fires in several operational units, Kuwait’s state news agency reported.
According to posts on X, the incident triggered blazes at multiple sections of the facility, though no injuries were reported among workers.
Emergency response and firefighting teams were dispatched to the site to contain the situation.
In an earlier update, authorities had warned of ongoing “hostile missile and drone attacks” targeting Kuwait.
