Bollywood actor Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan is all set to make his Bollywood debut. There have been rumours that Junaid will make his debut through Maharaja produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
Amir travelled to Rajasthan in early May to film a cameo for his production, Pritam Pyare, which is headlined by actor-son Junaid Khan. The web series premiered in Lucknow, followed by a run in the desert state's Jhunjhunu area.
According to reports, the film is being directed by one of Aamir Khan's associates. A source told that on May 1, Aamir joined Junaid and the team in Rajasthan. During the week, he shot a song and some hospital scenes in Bagar. Aamir, Junaid, and co-star Sanjay Mishra shot their scenes near the Grand Haveli and Resort, a heritage property in Nawalgarh.
The source also said that some scenes were also canned outside the city's Koolwal Kothi hotel. The superstar's appearance is said to have influenced the plot of the eccentric small-town thriller. Aside from the online series, Junaid is working on Maharaja, his Bollywood debut.
The film is reportedly based on Maharaj Libel Case. In 1862, the head of a religious section had filed a case against a newspaper that had exposed his sexual exploitation of female devotees. Junaid Khan is set to play the role of journalist Karsandas Mulji.
Junaid went to a drama school in Los Angeles and was mentored there for 2 years. Then he returned to Mumbai and performed in around plays in the city Junaid screen tested for Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy but was not selected .
"Aamir joined Junaid and the team in Rajasthan on May 1. He shot for a song, and some hospital scenes in Bagar over the week. Aamir, Junaid and co-actor Sanjay Mishra filmed their portions near the heritage property, Grand Haveli and Resort, located in old Nawalgarh. Some scenes were also canned around the Koolwal Kothi hotel in the city, " said a source.
