Inside Karan Johar's 50th birthday bash

Bollywood filmmaker and producer Karan Johar hosted a mega birthday bash on Wednesday night which was obviously a star-studded event. The 50 th bash was taking place at the Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai.

The multi-faceted talent is highly active on social media and regularly updates his fans on his professional and personal life. Karan's two children, Yash and Roohi, have sparked the most interest among fans. Karan debuted as director in 1998 with “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and has since directed a string of successful films including “My Name is Khan” and “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham”. 

Birthday boy Karan wore a blingy green tuxedo which he teamed up with a white shirt, a bow tie, and a pair of black pants. Karan Johar completed his look with oversized tinted glasses. The party’s theme was black and bling. It was designed by Amrita Mahal, who created the sets of films like Kalank, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Brahmastra, and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He kickstarted the birthday celebrations by cutting a cake in the presence of his family members and close friends.

From Kareena Kapoor Khan to Kiara Advani, Anushka Sharma, Gauri Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Shweta Bachchan, Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Tiger Shroff, and Malaika Arora, the whole of film fraternity from around the country came together to celebrate the filmmaker’s special day. Superstar Salman Khan was also spotted by the paparazzi as he arrived for the filmmaker’s 50th birthday.

Manish Malhotra and Shanaya Kapoor can be seen twinning in black. The ace fashion designer also posed with Gauri Khan, who was seen stunning in a golden shimmery dress. Shweta Bachchan opted for a red outfit for the party. Hrithik Roshan made his way to the party with his girlfriend Saba Azad by his side, Aamir Khan walked the red carpet with ex-wife Kiran Rao and many other stars were seen at the party. Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma and more attend.

Gauri Khan has shared a video of Karan, wherein he is cutting the three-tier cake while his friends sing the birthday song in the background.

Hrithik Roshan brought along girlfriend Saba Azad, while his ex-wife Sussanne Khan also arrived with boyfriend Arslan Goni.

Some of Karan Johar's closest friends were the earliest arrivals at the party – Rani Mukerji, Shweta Bachchan, Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra. Shweta's daughter Navya Naveli Nanda arrived later, posing with friend Ananya Panday. Siblings Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim showed up together. Janhvi Kapoor, also a Dharma talent, attended as well. Malaika Arora attended the party without boyfriend Arjun Kapoor.

The whole of film fraternity came together to celebrate Karan's birthday

Salman Khan wore a black jacket which he teamed up with a black t-shirt and ripped blue jeans. He was seen posing on the red carpet ahead of taking part in Karan Johar’s birthday bash.

The newlyweds arrived at the event hand-in-hand and looked perfect together. Katrina Kaif dazzled in a white dress which was paired with minimal accessories. Vicky, on the other hand, looked dapper in a black tuxedo.

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, who share a close bond with Karan Johar, attended his birthday bash together. Kareena Kapoor opted for a silver dress, while Saif Ali Khan is seen in black and white tuxedo.

Ranveer Singh looked dapper in a sequinned jacket, which he paired with a white shirt, black pants, tie, and hat. Ranveer Singh's wife, popular actress Deepika Padukone gave the bash a miss as she is attending Cannes 2022 as a jury member.

Ranbir Kapoor attended Karan Johar's birthday bash with mom Neetu Kapoor. Ranbir Kapoor has finally let go of his signature stumbled look, and sported a clean-shaven look. He looked dashing in a black jacket and matching glasses. Neetu Kapoor, on the other hand, looked ethereal in a white outfit which she paired with a signature necklace. Ranbir Kapoor's wife Alia Bhatt missed her mentor's birthday bash as she's busy shooting for her Hollywood debut project.
