To facilitate the return journey of people heading home after Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Railway is selling advance tickets for intercity train seats under a special arrangement. Today, tickets for intercity trains scheduled for May 31 will be sold.
On Thursday (May 21), ticket sales for trains operating in the western region will begin at 8:00 AM.
Ticket sales for trains operating in the eastern region will begin at 2:00 PM.
For passengers’ convenience, 100% of seat tickets will once again be sold online.
According to the railway’s Eid special operational plan, tickets for June 1 intercity trains will be sold on May 22, tickets for June 2 trains on May 23, tickets for June 3 trains on May 24, and tickets for June 4 trains on May 25.
It has also been announced that tickets purchased during this period cannot be refunded to the railway. Each passenger may purchase a maximum of four seat tickets at a time. If more than one seat ticket is purchased, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided at the time of booking.
