When residents of the capital were struggling under a prolonged heatwave, rainfall across Dhaka and various parts of the country on Friday brought relief by lowering temperatures. The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has indicated that such rainfall may continue for the next three days.
Meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallik said on Friday night, “Just as it rained today, light to moderate rainfall may occur across all divisions of the country over the next three days.”

In addition, moderately heavy rainfall may occur in some parts of the country. Daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to decrease slightly nationwide during this period.

The highest temperature in the country on Friday was recorded in Cox’s Bazar at 36.3°C, while the highest temperature in Dhaka reached 33.5°C.
