Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth detained after drug raid

Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor was taken into custody by the Bengaluru police on Monday morning due to an alleged drugs controversy. He was arrested by the police after getting caught at a rave party on June 12.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (EAST), Bengaluru City, Dr.Bheemashankar S. Guled confirmed Siddhanth's arrest.   

The actor, along with five others have been detained as per ANI. His sample was among the six that tested positive for marijuana consumption.

The Bengaluru Police raided a rave, where Siddhanth was also found, allegedly consuming drugs. He was given a drug test, which he failed.

Siddhant is a DJ and regularly plays at parties, the one in Bengaluru being one of them.

Shakti Kapoor refused to believe the reports and said he will talk to his son soon. “I don’t know where all these reports are coming from,” the senior actor told Hindustan Times.

Shakti Kapoor’s daughter Shraddha Kapoor was called in by the Narcotic Control Bureau in connection with a drug case as part of the investigation into Sushant Singh Rajpur’s death.

“Siddhanth Kapoor has tested positive for drugs. He has been brought to Ulsoor Police Station,” Dr Bheemashankar S Guled, DCP, East division, Bengaluru City told the outlet. After his arrest, videos from the party surfaced online and one of them saw Siddhant DJing. The police are yet to confirm whether the Jazbaa actor had consumed drugs during the gathering or prior to the event.
