Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rains in all the divisions in 24 hours commencing 9 am on Saturday.
“Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country,” it said.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country.
The land Depression over Jharkhand and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal moved west-northwestwards, weakened into a well-marked low afterwards a low pressure area and now lies over the same area.
It is likely to move west northwestwards further. The axis of monsoon troughs runs through Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, the center of the low, West Bengal to Assam across southern part of Bangladesh.
Monsoon is fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over North Bay.
