A low-pressure has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, bringing the possibility of rain and thunderstorms across Bangladesh.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are likely at many places across all eight divisions today.
The areas include Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet. Some parts of the country may experience moderately heavy rainfall.
The weather department said day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
The monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and strong over the northern Bay of Bengal, according to the weather office.
Today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 24°C in Tangail and Narayanganj, while yesterday (Wednesday)’s highest temperature was 36°C in Rangamati.
