Bangladesh's workers' remittance inflow maintained a strong growth momentum in the new fiscal year, reaching US$7.253 billion during July 1 to September 13, 2026, up 16.9 percent from $6.206 billion recorded during the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
According to the latest Bangladesh Bank data, remittance inflow stood at $1.427 billion during September 1-13, 2026, compared with $1.306 billion during the same period last year, marking a 9.3 percent year-on-year
increase.
On September 13 alone, expatriate Bangladeshis sent home $193 million through official channels.
The sustained rise in remittance inflows is expected to strengthen the country's foreign-exchange position and support external-sector stability amid ongoing efforts to improve formal remittance channels.
