The Election Commission (EC) has appointed revising authorities to update the voter list ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
A press release signed by Md. Abdul Halim Khan, Joint Secretary of the EC Secretariat, said here today that 150 officials have been appointed as revising authorities in the country's 64 districts and cantonment areas.
The release said, Under Section 11 of the Voter List Act-2009, the EC appointed revising authorities to settle claims, objections, and correction applications (Forms 6, 7, and 8) on the draft voter list, so that persons born on or before October 31, 2008 and registered by October 31, 2026 can be included in the finalized updated voter list.
