Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor's next film 'Shamshera' is all set to release in theatres on July 22. Ranbir recently opened up about a ‘warning’ his father, the late Rishi Kapoor, had given him about the director.
The trailer of the movie has been liked a lot and director Karan Malhotra's new project is showing all the qualities of a banging entertainer.
Ranbir, who is busy with full force in the promotion of the movie, has said in a new interview that before doing His father, Rishi Kapoor had worked with Karan in the film Agneepath, which marked the latter’s directorial debut. Rishi had called Karan a ‘hard taskmaster’. Ranbir recounted how Rishi had told the him about Karan, "You will regret a lot.' Karan Malhotra is a very strict director. Takes a lot of taxes. It's a big pain. So be prepared!''
Ranbir agreed that working on Shamshera was indeed a daunting task and called it the most physically draining film he had ever done. The actor revealed how they shot the film in Mumbai during the peak of summer, wearing woolen clothes no less. The actor also had to keep on a thick beard and spoke of how he used to be covered in dust most of the time. He said performing action sequences in those conditions was a very hard task indeed. “Working on this film was a nightmare”, said Ranbir. But in the end all their hard work had paid off, as the actor himself said that it all seemed worth it in the end when they saw how the film turned out.
Shamshera is a action film co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor.
