Former world number one Maria Sharapova announced the birth of her first child on Friday, sharing a picture of the newborn along with her fiance.
On Thursday, Sharapova took to Instagram to share the good news with her fans and followers. She dropped a picture of the newborn along with her fiancé British businessman Alexander Gilkes.
"The most beautiful, challenging, and rewarding gift our little family could ask for," Sharapova said in a post on Instagram.
The baby, named Theodore, is the first child of the couple.
The Russian five-time Grand Slam champion retired from tennis in 2020.
