Mumbai police to question Ranveer Singh in nude photoshoot case

Update : 13 Aug 2022, 09:26

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has been called for questioning by the Mumbai Police in connection with the case filed against him over his nude photoshoot.

A Mumbai Police squad visited actor Ranveer Singh’s house on Friday, 12th August 2022, to serve him with a summon to appear at the police station for questioning.

The official said personnel from the city’s Chembur police station visited Singh’s residence on Friday and served him a notice to join the investigation, but were told that he was not in Mumbai.

Singh later told the police that he would return on August 16.

The official said that notice would be given to him on that day and he would be called on August 22 to record his statement.

An FIR was lodged against Ranveer Singh at Chembur police station last month based on a complaint filed by an office-bearer of a non-profit organisation.

The complaint claimed that the actor “hurt the sentiments of women in general and insulted their modesty through his photographs.”
