U.S. rapper Kanye “Ye” West appears to have done some soul-searching following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The rapper, 45 declared in an Instagram post honoring the Queen that he would forgive everyone and forget the past.
“Life is precious. Releasing all grudges today. Leaning into the light,” West wrote Friday morning in an Instagram post that also included two archival photos of the late British monarch.
In the past week, Kanye has threatened to end his partnerships with Adidas and Gap, accusing the companies of stealing his designs. Diddy and Swizz Beatz vowed to boycott Adidas in support of the “Hurricane” rapper.
On Wednesday, he posted a photo hugging his children with the comment, “Some things are bigger than money. My kids have no idea what daddy has gone through this past few days alone to secure the brand that will one day be handed down to them God Willing.”
“These future leaders will never back down, be stolen from and forced to compromise who they are for the check,” West added.
Just last week, Kanye accused his fans of being “crazy” for not understanding him as he slammed his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for allegedly not giving him a say about where to send their kids to school.
He has previously claimed he had arguments with Kim over parenting.
The rapper said that he didn’t want his brood going to private school Sierra Canyon, but instead wanted them to attend the Donda Academy – an educational college he has set up himself.
He quickly followed it up with a post which appeared to be a message from Kim asking him to stop with his public argument.
He wrote: “Here is the through line. Gap having meetings about me without me. Adidas releasing old shoes and coloring my shoes like I’m dead. Me not having a say on where my children go to school.
“Call me whatever names you want. If you don’t understand why I will not back down on my businesses my brands and my children then you’re the ones who are crazy.”
Kanye has also made repeated swipes about Kim’s now ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson.
