Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise in June 2020 sent shock waves across the film industry. He was found dead at his home in Mumbai. Even though Sushant’s death seemed like a suicide, his massive fanbase and his family hinted at murder and blamed Bollywood for his demise. In recent turn of events, his sister Meetu Singh shared a post taking a dig at Bollywood.
Recently, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra has been making a lot of buzz around the city, and people are going crazy about the movie. Amid all of these, Sushan's sister’s Instagram post has woken up his fans once again.
Sushant's sister recently shared a note criticising the Hindi film industry. Amid the ongoing boycott trend and backlash over filmmaker Karan Johar's recent film Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, Sushant's sister took a jibe at Bollywood.
Sharing a throwback picture of Sushant, she wrote, "Sushant’s Brahmastra is enough to destroy this Bollywood." Meetu went on to add, "Bollywood has always wanted to dictate the public, never stopping to show mutual respect n humility. How can we let people like this be the face of our country which is so rich in moral values? Their sorry attempt of winning d public’s love wid pretentiousness has failed. Quality n Moral values r the only thing that’ll win admiration n respect."

Earlier, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri not too long ago opined that there is a lot of fakeness in Bollywood after media reviews claimed that theatre chains like PVR and Inox suffered crores of loss due to Brahmastra’s launch.
In a follow-up post, Singh said that the Hindi film industry "killed Sushant out of jealousy and insecurity. " She shared a snippet of popular YouTube star Pewdiepie and wrote, "Everybody recognizes Sushant n his genius but his own industry, Bollywood, failed to acknowledge his great understanding towards life and it’s mechanism, truly a tragedy. I’m really grateful to this Swedish YouTuber pewdiepie (Felix) for this
heart-warming tribute for my only Prince (SSR)."
