Indian woman cricketer Tania Bhatia has claimed that money, cards and jewelery were stolen from her bag at Marriott Hotel in London. A three ODI series was played between India and England. She has revealed that this happened during this series.
She took to Twitter to lash out at the England Cricket Board (ECB) for the lack of security at the team hotel. Bhatiya, who was part of India's squad for the ODI and T20I series against England, urged the ECB to intervene in the matter and take action against the culprit.
"I am disappointed with the management done by Marriott Hotel. I stayed in this hotel as part of the Indian team. During this time, my bag containing cash, cards, watches and jewelery was stolen from my room", claims Tania Bhatia. At this time, she has also expressed the expectation that the matter will be investigated soon.
In the tweet, Bhatia expects prompt action from the Marriott Hotel along with the London Police and Administration. The hotel has also responded to her tweet, asking her to share all her details so that action can be initiated at the earliest.
