Update : 17 Oct 2022, 18:18

It was a very shocking warm up match for Bangladesh as they received a defeat of 62 runs from Afghanistan at Allan Border Field in Brisbane on Monday.

Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat first. They scored 160 losing 7 wickets in 20 overs in the T20 World Cup warm up match against Bangladesh with a run rate of exact 8 per over.

Ibrahim Zadran's 46 of 39 balls and Mohammad Nabi's stunning 41 not out of just 17 balls helped Afghanistan to set a fighting score. Nabi hit five over-boundaries and one boundary in his innings.

Fazalhaq Farooqi bagged three wickets spending just nine runs in three overs.

The experiment with the openers looked good for Bangladesh as the Tigers scored a decent 18 runs without losing any wicket in first two overs. However, later on it was just coming on the pitch and returning to the pavilion as none could play a stable innings from Bangladesh side. After 7 overs Bangladesh's score was 32 for 5. However, they somehow managed to score 98 for 9 after 20 overs.

Afghanistan started with a big win (62 runs).
