Update : 20 Oct 2022, 18:01

United Arab Emirates (UAE) managed to secure a 7-run win against Namibia in the 10th match of the first round group 'A' match in Geelong on Thursday. Namibia got knocked out from the tourney.

UAE scored 148 for 3 after playing 20 overs. Chasing the total of UAE, Namibia 141 for 8 in 20 overs.

However, Netherlands started today as table-toppers, but were at risk of falling out of the group after losing against Sri Lanka. But they'll live to fight on in the Super 12s as Namibia botched up a chase of 149 runs against a so far winless UAE.

UAE captain CP Rizwan said, "A great moment for UAE cricket. I would like to thank our coach and the management. We had been doing well in patches, but today everything clicked together."

UAE batter Muhammad Waseem became Player of the Match for his knock of 50 runs of 41 balls.
