Dhallywood star Shakib Khan has filed General Diary (GD) against 13 YouTube channels and Facebook pages on charges of spreading propaganda and defaming his personal life in the virtual world.
Moniruzzaman, manager of the actor filed the GD on behalf of Shakib Khan with Dhaka’s Gulshan police station on Thursday night.
Police station officer-in-charge ABM Forman Ali confirmed the news.
The 13 accused social media channels are— ‘Purniar Khoj’, ‘Boro Bhai’, ‘Bod Bachan 2.0’, ‘RJ Nirob’, ‘Hasan Saidul’, ‘020 Channel’, ‘The Young Fellow’, ‘SK Media’, ‘Showbiz Glam Room’, ‘Swapan Ahmed’, ‘Desh Bangla’, and ‘Digital Bangladesh News-DBN’.
Recently, the news of Shakib Khan’s child with Shobnom Bubly came to light on September 30. After that, several Facebook pages and YouTube channels made various videos about Shakib and published those in satirical form.
Shakib Khan had already posted to file a lawsuit on his verified Facebook, alleging of spreading false information and defamation on Facebook and YouTube against him. Now as per that Shakib Khan took legal action against those involved in spreading false information and defamation.
Recently, the news of Shakib Khan’s personal life and child with Shobnom Bubly came to light on September 30. Later, several Facebook pages and YouTube channels made various videos about Shakib and published those in satirical form.
Shakib earlier warned about the rumours multiple times. It is also said that due to these activities, Shakib Khan’s personal image is being hampered.
