The former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his wife Sakshi's film production company is set to enter into the Tamil movie industry.
Having spent all those years with Chennai Super Kings, Dhoni has developed a deep-rooted love for South cinema.
According to an official statement released by Dhoni Entertainment, it is mentioned that the production house has bagged the rights to a successful mythological sci-fi book and is about to release a documentary 'Roar Of The Lion', based on the journey of the team of a short format cricket IP.
However, as a first venture after the announcement, they revealed that a Tamil feature film is soon going on floors under the direction of Ramesh Thamizhmani.
The company will now produce films in Tamil alongside other Southern Indian languages like Telugu and Malyalam.
The company has already produced movies like Roar of the Lion, The Hidden Hindu and Blaze to Glory. It is reported that Dhoni's company, which is negotiating with the leading actors and actresses of the tamil film industry, will produce the film with a big budget.
Directed by Ramesh Thamilmani, who has also helmed the new age graphic novel Atharva- The Origin, the project is set to go on floor soon.
