Australia just experienced a big win of 42 runs against Ireland in the 31st match of Group 1 of the T20 World Cup tourney in Brisbane on Monday.
Australia batted first and scored 179 for 5 in 20 overs. Although it was a complete team effort, the Australian skipper Aaron Finch knocked a brilliant 63 of just 44 balls. He became Player of the Match.
However, chasing a big total was difficult for Ireland batters from the very beginning. Their innings was full of ups and downs. Irish batter Lorcan Tucker's 71 of 48 not out could not save them as their innings ended 137 in 18.1 overs.
Ireland chose to field first after winning the toss earlier on the day.
