Bollywood actress Deepika Paducone will be flying to Qatar to be part of the most-watched sporting event in the world FIFA and will be unveiling the FIFA World Cup trophy at the jam-packed stadium, according to media reports.
The FIFA World Cup final will be played on 18 December 2022. The 36-year-old actress is expected to unveil the World Cup trophy on December18, at the Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar, say reports citing sources close to her team.
The Gehraiyaan actor will be revealing the trophy in the presence of a packed stadium.
Earlier, the Gehraiyaan actress represented India at the Cannes Film Festival 2022 in France as the Jury member.
Deepika Padukone will be next seen in film Pathaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham which is slated to release on January 25. She further has Project K opposite Prabhas and The Intern along with Amitabh Bachchan in the pipeline.
The FIFA World Cup commenced on November 20 with an opening ceremony in which BTS member Jungkook performed this year’s official world cup anthem, Dreamers, with Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi. The performance preceded the first match in the event and was the first time the anthem was performed live.
Last week, Indian actress Nora Fatehi performed during the Fifa World Cup 2022 Fan Festival, hosted at Al Bidda Park in Doha.
Meanwhile, on the film front, Deepika will be seen sharing screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in `Pathaan`, which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the action-packed film `Pathaan` was shot in eight countries.
