Indomitable Mehidy shines again, Tigers seal series against India

Bangladesh secured a dramatic win against India in the second ODI to seal the series at Mirpur in Dhaka on Wednesday (December 7).

Mehidy Hasan Miraz pulled off a remarkable effort with the bat as he hit his first ODI century off just 83 balls. Mehidy and Mahmudullah Riyad batted very well and Bangladesh post a challenging 271 for 7 in the second ODI.

At one stage, after losing 6 wickets at 69 runs, Bangladesh looked in a fix but Mehidy and Mahmudullah grabbed every opportunity with both the hands.

Chasing 271, India started well. But, there were a lot of ups and downs in their innings. Injured Rohit Sharma came to bat at eight and knocked a stunning 51 of 28 balls.

Once, the match looked very tight and close. However, India's innings ended at 266 for 9 after 50 overs.

Bangladesh won by five runs and sealed the series 2-0. Mehidy Hasan Miraz became the most valuable player of the match and the player of the match for hitting a brilliant 100 not out of just 83 balls.
