India beat England by 7 wickets with 36 balls remaining in the first-ever ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup final on Sunday (January 29).
India Women Under-19s won the toss and elected to field first. England lost all wickets scoring only 68. In reply, India scored 69/3 in 14 overs and won the final.
India U-19 women batters Soumya Tiwari scored 24 not out of 37 balls. Gongadi Trisha hit a decent 24 of 29 balls. Titas Sadhu bagged two wickets giving just 6 runs in four overs. She was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.
