Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is getting slammed by netizens for walking on India's map in a new promo video from the upcoming North America Tour.
The actor is quite active on social media. He keeps updating his social media profile by sharing his most recent pictures and video. On February 5, 2023., he shared a video promoting his North America Tour.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Akshay penned, "The entertainers are all set to bring 100 per cent shuddh desi entertainment to North America. Fasten your seat belts, we're coming in March!"
In a 19-second clip, which also featured actresses Disha Patani, Mouni Roy, Nora Fatehi, and Sonam Bajwa, the actor was seen walking over the map of India.
Instead of getting praise, the clip left a section of Twitter fuming. Netizen gets angry after watching Akshay Kumar's feet on the map of India.
Some netizens also questioned Akshay's loyalty, pointing to his Canadian citizenship. Earlier, when the question was raised, Akshay had said that he has decided to give up his Canadian citizenship and applied for an Indian passport.
While some Twitter users said that "This is too much Akshay", others said that "this kind of behavior is unacceptable in any country".
One Twitter user wrote, "A Canadian actor is walking over an Indian map and insulting Indians. How is this even acceptable? @akshaykumar, you have to apologise to 150 crore Indians for this shameful act."
Another user commented, "Bhai thodi to respect kar liya karo hamare Bharat ki." One user questions Akshay Kumar, "Sir Ye Kitana sahi hai ???" another one also asks, "Walking on India's map!! ??"
