Bangladeshi Fide Master (FM) Mehdi Hasan Parag shared the third spot with 10 other players, collecting 3.5 points.
In the fifth-round matches, IM Mohammad Fahad Rahman won against FM Rastbod Ali of Iran; FM Mehdi Hasan Parag drew with FM Sedaghati Mehrdad of Iran, UNB reports.
The sixth-round matches began Thursday at 7pm Bangladesh time.
In the matches, IM Fahad is playing against FM Aradhya Garg of India; FM Mehdi Hasan Parag is facing Manukyan Sevak of Armenia.
