Priyanka Chopra-Richard Madden's Citadel first look teases romance and action

Priyanka Chopra is all set to win our hearts on the small screen as well, in Russo Brothers’ much-awaited–Citadel.  The global star  on Monday shared her first look from the upcoming spy-thriller show Citadel.

The newly released snapshots from the series, introduce us to the cast, and their respective roles. Almost a year in the making, the team shared pictures via Vanity Fair, teasing fans and fuelling our excitement. Some pictures feature Chopra in a red dress, panning guns, and some others reveal the onscreen romance between her and Madden’s character–Mason Kane. The two characters however share a past, a history, which we sure will have to wait to know. Interestingly, both the actors were given the same ground to play equal parts, with elaborate stunts and action scenes to perform.

While the first look impressed the celebs like Rajkummar Rao and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Nick Jonas also hyped his actress-wife.

According to Vanity Fair, the series is slated to release its first two episodes on April 28, 2023, exclusively on Amazon Prime. Priyanka’s role as Nadia Sinh is of a woman who is hot but is also daring and great at her job. Like most of her previous roles, the actress shines out as this confident woman in pictures, assuring the Russo brothers of their decision of casting her. Richard’s character–Mason will be seen portraying dual roles, of almost two different worlds, which will be an interesting key point to watch.

The series also casts The Devil Wears Prada star–Stanley Tucci and The Crown‘s Lesley Manville. The pictures from the series’ first look also give us a peek into their witty, rugged roles that will also help in pushing the plot forward.

In the Indian installment of Citadel, actors Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be the lead actors. The Family Man directors Raj and DK will be helming the Indian version of Citadel.
