In a shocking development, actor Sushmita Sen took to her IG handle on Thursday to announce that she suffered from a heart attack a few days back. While she did not mention whether the attack was a minor or major one, she added that an angioplasty has been performed and a stent has been put in place. (to open up the blocked artery)
The actor, posting an image with her dad made the announcement on insta and said, “Keep your heart happy & courageous, and it’ll stand by you when you need it the most Shona”
She also wrote, “I suffered a heart attack a couple of days back…Angioplasty done…stent in place…and most importantly, my cardiologist reconfirmed ‘I do have a big heart’.”
A lot of her well-wishers took to the comments section to post get well soon wishes to her, while adding that she will emerge out of this sooner than expected. Fans also advised her to take it slow and take good care of herself, while calling her an 'inspiration'.
Sushmita is set to return with her OTT series, Aarya Season 3 in June this year, reports Times of India.
