Karan Johar stopped by Mumbai airport security

Update : 22 Mar 2023, 13:40

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar experienced an awkward moment at the Mumbai airport recently. The director-producer appeared to be in a rush to catch his flight but forgot to show his plane tickets and ID verified.

The incident took place on Tuesday morning as KJo jetted out of Mumbai to an undisclosed location.

He was brutally trolled after a video of the incident went viral online and a section of the internet even criticised the actor for being "entitled".

In the video, Karan can be seen posing for the paparazzi in black t-shirt and pants paired with a white oversied jacket and a high-end Gucci x Adidas bag.

The filmmaker then walked in straight inside the airport without stopping by for the mandatory security check. An official was then seen rushing behind him and calling him back and he was then asked to produce his tickets and boarding pass. Later, he presented his papers and received a go-ahead from the officer.

A user wrote, "These people feel so entitled that they think there's no need to show documents or follow the rules! Hadd hai". "Kjo to policeman... how dare u ... why did u stop me..... I was in my catwalk scene", wrote another.

Another user wrote, "He was so busy doing his airport catwalk that he forgot to show his papers to the security guy!" Applauding the security personnel, a user wrote, "waaah police chacha waaaaah" "Aisa andhar bhaag ke jaa rahan hain jaise ki uska baap ka Airport hain , also who is that pappu pager in the front who is trying to rush. No one is a celebrity when it comes to airport security. All are equal . Bloody bollywood jokers", read a comment from another social media user.

On the work front, Karan Johar is currently gearing up for his rom-com directorial, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie features Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh as the lead along with Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. The film is slated to release on April 28, 2023.
