Sheikh Jamal return winning streak

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club retuned winning streak as they beat Bangladesh Police Football Club by 2-1 in the Bangladesh Premier League football held on April 28 at Rafiq Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh. 

In the day's match, Gambian forward Sulayman Sillah and Uzbek midfielder Otabek Valizhonov scored one goal each for Sheikh Jamal while Mohammad Sheikh Babu netted a lone goal for Bangladesh Police Football Club, reports BSS. 

The match was locked goalless at the breather. 

After the barren first half, Sulayman Sillah finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal for Sheikh Jamal in the 57th minute while Bablu brought back Bangladesh Police in the match scoring a goal in the 82nd minute.

Otabek Valizhonov sealed the victory for Sheikh Jamal scoring the second goal in the 90+4th minute of the match.

Paraguayan defender Jorge Aguilar of Sheikh Jamal and Ambulila of Bangladesh Police were showed direct red card by the referee following their unsporting behavior in the match. 

With the day's win, Sheikh Jamal moved third position in the league table with 19 points from 13 matches while Bangladesh Police Football Club, who stands fifth position in the league table, remained at their previous credit of 17 points playing the same number of matches. 
 
Earlier, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club edged past Bangladesh Police Football Club by a solitary goal held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj.

Meanwhile, two matches of league will be held tomorrow (Saturday) with Mohammedan Sporting Club take on Chittagong Abahani Limited at Bir Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj and Azampur Football Club meet Fortis Football Club at Rajshahi District Stadium in Rajshahi.

Both the matches kick off at 3.45 pm.
