Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone has featured on the cover of Time Magazine as the latest 'Global Star'. She opened up about bringing the world to Bollywood and how she has managed to achieve global stardom, during the interview with the top international magazine.
The Pathaan actress is referred to as “the most popular actress in the world’s most populous country” in the interview that goes along with it. For the cover photos, the actress wore a beige-coloured oversized suit with no shoes.
Deepika discussed the ‘continuous political blowback’ against her in the interview. “I don’t know if I’m expected to feel anything about it”, she said. “However, the truth is that I have no reaction to it” she said.
She also said that India shouldn't be happy with one Oscar for a song and one Oscar for a documentary. The actress added that she hopes "we can look at this as the beginning of an opportunity."
Deepika also re-posted the story and lovingly wrote: “My happy place…”
Ranveer Singh immediately came forward in support of wife Deepika. He posted the picture of the cover page on his Instagram story and wrote: “Iconic.” Ranveer also shared a post on his Instagram especially for his wife to boost her morale and encourage her. He wrote: “World at your feet! Proud of you, babygirl!”
At present, a video has been going viral where Ranveer surprises Deepika during her Time interview. The duo served major couple goals in the video and looked super cute together.
Earlier in 2018, the actress was among Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential List. Deepika shared a picture of the magazine cover on her social media accounts, and soon, netizens reacted to it.
The internet community hailed the actress for achieving this feat. A user called the actress "Boss Lady." A netizen commented, "What a moment! You deserve all of this." On the work front, Deepika Padukone will be making her first on-screen appearance with Hrithik Roshan in Fighter that also features Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role.
