Bollywood actor Sara Ali Khan made her debut appearance at the Cannes International film festival on 16 May. She chose a desi outfit for her Cannes debut.
The actress looked lovely in an ivory Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga. The attire, which included elaborate embroidery, made quite a statement. She accessorised with earrings and kept her makeup simple.
Speaking about her look, Sara said, “It's a traditional and modern Indian handmade design by Abu and Sandeep (Khosla). I've always been proud of my Indianness. It embodies who I am, it's fresh, it's modern and also has traditional roots."
The Cannes Film Festival opened on Tuesday and it will continue to take place in France until May 27.This year, several Indian celebrities are set to walk the red carpet. Sara Ali Khan isn't the only Indian actress making her Cannes debut this year; Anushka Sharma is also much anticipated. Aditi Rao Hydari and Manushi Chhillar and Sunny Leone will also visit the festival for the first time.
Sara will next be seen opposite Vicky Kaushal in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.Apart from that, she is also involved in the films ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, an untitled project directed by Jagan Shakti, and Homi Adjania’s ‘Murder Mubarak’.
