The 23rd edition of the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IFFA) Awards 2023 has commenced on May 26 in Abu Dhabi's Yas Island, while the main event is set to take place on May 27. A video from IIFA 2023 press conference on May 26 went viral that showed Vicky Kaushal being pushed aside by Salman Khan’s security team.

While a section of netizens called Salman “rude," others defended the superstar. A user wrote, “I don’t think Salman was rude here. They were walking and Salman greeted Vicky with the hand to his chest salaam thing. Vicky wanted to stop and talk and he didn’t, but wasn’t rude or embarrassing. There’s no need for Vicky to be embarrassed." Another one commented, “Honestly, Salman Khan’s bodyguards and staff members were more rude than Salman Khan.

However, after the clip became a hot topic of discussion on social media platforms,  Salman surprised everyone on IIFA Rocks green carpet by giving Vicky a wide hug on Friday night.

Meanwhile, Vicky will be hosting IIFA 2023 with Abhishek Bachchan, while Salman is one of the star performers.

On the work front, Vicky is set for the release of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the film will hit theatres on June 2. Salman, on the other hand, is gearing up for Tiger 3 with Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
